6 Day Trauma Intensive Retreat in Costa Rica
With Daniel A. Arteaga, Emily Powers and Wendy Knowles
February 1 - 6, 2027
If you’re still carrying the weight of a single traumatic event, or of years of complex, relational, or childhood experience, this six-day intensive is a place to take a real step forward. We won’t promise you’ll leave “healed,” but you will spend six days in Guanacaste, on one of only five Blue Zones on Earth, working closely with a licensed clinician through daily 1:1 sessions in EMDR, exposure therapy, somatics, and NET. There’s opt-in group work too, alongside people who won’t need what you’ve been through explained to them, and time in nature woven throughout. Nothing here is required of you before you’re ready for it.
By the end of the week, you’ll have a clearer sense of how trauma has shaped your nervous system, your patterns, and your relationships (and tools you’ve actually practiced, not just talked about!) This retreat is built for people who’ve already put in the work in a therapist’s chair and are ready for the body-based piece that talk alone hasn’t reached. Accommodations, meals, daily sessions, group work, and guided nature experiences are all included.
Early bird pricing runs through September 30, 2026 — $1,995 per person for a shared room, $2,695 for private. Space is limited, and every guest completes a short screening call beforehand so we can make sure this is the right fit.
